SVL, screw threaded, jointed glassware from Scilabware is a range of laboratory intermediate parts with interconnecting joints:
- SVL can be used at temperatures up to 200°C and under vacuum to a maximum of 10-4 torr
- It allows the forming of rigid, flexible and rotating joints
- Also allows glass of dissimilar or equal diameters to be joined together to form leak-free, pressure-tight and vacuum-tight assemblies
SVL is manufactured in clear, Pyrex® borosilicate glass, with a low coefficient of expansion, excellent chemical and heat resistance. It conforms to the following standards:
— ISO 3585, DIN 12217 - Type 3.3 borosilicate glass
— ASTM E-438 Type 1 - Class A borosilicate glass
— US Pharmacopoeia - Type 1 borosilicate glass
— European Pharmacopoeia - Type 1 glass
Plastic caps and seals used within the joints are manufactured in resistant plastics and silicone rubber.
